My comment in Dutch (sorry for that) was that I would call this sphecodes s.s. without any second thought, if it were from France.
But it is from North West Greece !

By the way, thanks for your excellent book on Greece.I loved the fact that you are being conservative.

you are welcome. No worries, I use google translate. The book is problematic and a compromise, I am much more ''conservative'' (I prefer the wording common sense actually) in real life.
There is O. sphegodes ssp. sphegodes in Greece. There are no real differences morphologically from populations in the UK (locus typicus)
